Our history –
The Ahrnerhof through the ages
The Ahrnerhof looks back on a long and traditional history. As early as 1878, Johann Witting, a trained master shoemaker, bought what was then known as the "Wasteler Hof". Although he worked as a forest ranger for the municipality of Leutasch, he from then on shaped the farm - then known as "Rindler Schuster".

In 1916, his son Markus Witting took over the farm and managed it successfully until 1967. Subsequently, his grandson Fritz Witting continued the family tradition and rebuilt the farm in 1968/69. From this point on, rooms and holiday apartments were rented out here for the first time. Ewald Witting has been the tenant of the farm since 2000. After 17 years as a forest ranger and carpenter's journeyman, he took over the farm in 2011. Since then, the last breakfast rooms have been converted into modern holiday apartments - the Ahrnerhof today combines tradition, cosiness and comfortable living for guests of all ages.
